Prachi & Beno\u00eet<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

They met in an ashram in India, each looking to give more meaning to their life. This encounter and that of yoga have profoundly changed their lives and opened new paths for the future. Previously, Prachi, with a degree in Design, worked in the world of visual merchandising. After 6 years in the corporate world, and following an introduction to yoga organized at work, new horizons opened up to her.<\/p>\n

Beno\u00eet worked in the catering industry in Chamonix and then in the field of renewable energy, after which he left for London to resume his studies. During this time he learnt yoga. Totally taken with this, he flew to India to do a three-month course and explore yoga further. And that\u2019s when Beno\u00eet met Prachi.<\/p>\n

The 3-month plan turned into a 2-year one, allowing them both to develop their joint project Sanskriti and lead it to fruition.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Experienced yoga teachers<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Prachi has been practising yoga for 10 years and teaching for 4 years.<\/p>\n

Beno\u00eet has 5 years of practice and also 4 years of teaching.<\/p>\n

They have accomplished more than 1000 hours of training, including 500 hours dedicated exclusively to teaching, in recognized Ashrams of India.<\/p>\n

Prachi also has specialised training in prenatal and postnatal yoga. Their diplomas are certified by Yoga Alliance.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Prachi\u2019s Indian roots and both their training in India, Prachi and Beno\u00eet teach authentic yoga, true to its traditional values.<\/p>\n

Yoga is more than doing postures; it\u2019s a way of life and most of the yoga happens off the mat.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWe wanted to do more than teach yoga, so as to fully live its philosophy. Our story, which began in India, continues today in Haute-Savoie, where Benoit has his roots. Sanskriti Yoga Centre is in the building of a former family factory dating back to the early 19th century, located in Scionzier.<\/p>\n

This vast beautiful stone building, in Beno\u00eet\u2019s family for several centuries, was originally a sawmill powered by the driving force of the river. Subsequently, and for many years, parts for the watch industry were manufactured there. It has now been fully renovated to make a comfortable home, and an inspiring place to stay to recharge one\u2019s batteries. The long history of this place gives it a special soul, which we want to keep alive.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the foot of the mountain on the edge of a forest, with a river flowing by, the property is quiet and peaceful and an ideal place to relax. Easily accessible paths take you into the mountains on uncrowded trails and allow you to reach the higher villages, such as Romme-sur Cluses, Le Reposoir or Mont-Saxonnex. All these elements of nature contribute to your well-being.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Originating from the meeting and mixing of two cultures, Sanskriti wants to offer the best of these worlds; the spirituality and simplicity of India, combined with the comfort of a western lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Our respective families have helped build this bridge: in Scionzier in Haute-Savoie, Beno\u00eet\u2019s family helped restore and develop the site; in India, Prachi\u2019s family had the furniture made and selected simple and authentic objects to complement the decor.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Sanskriti is a word derived from Sanskrit (the “mother tongue” of India) which means culture, and in a deeper sense, it indicates “refinement,” suggesting a way to extract the spiritual essence of life.
